The new ETA laws do not impact the following classification:

Making An Application For An ETA For Russia Travel
1. Apply through the RUID App
- Install the app and download ruID on your smartphone.
- Sign in or enroll: log in with your Gosuslugi certificates or create a new account using your travel document information.
Present your request:
- Submit your application between 72 and 90 hours before your scheduled arrival.
- For emergencies such as immediate medical needs or a family bereavement, you can apply a minimum of 4 hours in advance, along with the accompanying documents.
Log in your travel details:
- Declare your motive for visiting, the duration you will stay, and which province you will go to.
- If traveling with family, please attach their information as listed.
Biometric information:
- Take a facial picture
- Upload a picture of your ID
- Record a short voice sample.
Wait for authorization: You will obtain a notification in the app when your request is confirmed and endorsed.
2. Apply Through The Gosuslugi Portal.
- Enroll online: Visit the Gosuslugi portal or, when it’s open, download the “ruID” app.
- Present request: Complete the electronic access application form at least 3 days before your intended arrival.
