National Scholarship Program Of The Slovak Republic For Study And Research In Slovakia

Apply for the National Scholarship Program of the Slovak Republic 2024 in Slovakia. The National Scholarship Program of the Slovak Republic was introduced under the recommendation of the Government of the Slovak Republic to sponsor the mobility of international undergraduate and graduate students, PhD students, institutional tutors, students, and artists.

This grant program strives to sponsor the study, research, teaching, and artistic mobility of international students, Ph.D. students, artists, researchers, and university teachers. Students can travel to Slovakia for grants to remain at higher studies universities and research institutions.

Candidates for this grant program must be international students, PhD students, and researchers. The program provides nominated candidates grants to protect their living expenses at the time of their visit and travel stipends. Mobilities vary between 1 and 2 semesters for students and 1 to 10 months for Ph.D. students, researchers, and educators.

The program request, ending on April 30th 2024, is devoted to Bachelor’s students who have already concluded a minimum of 2.5 years of their institutional research, master’s and Ph.D. students, for study mobility in any course under the following classes:

  • Arts
  • Natural Sciences
  • Humanities
  • Technical Sciences
  • Social Sciences
  • Agriculture Sciences
  • Medicine

Advantages

Assigned candidates will be qualified for the following advantages.

  • University students will get a grant sum value of 620 euros monthly for the whole period of their visit.
  • Assigned PhD students will be qualified for a monthly grant value of 1025.50 euros.
  • The university’s teachers, artists, and researchers will receive a scholarship valued between 1025.50 euros and 1,470 euros monthly.
  • The grant shall also protect their living expenses, which include housing and lodging costs at the time of their award visit to Slovakia.
  • Assigned candidates can be granted a trip stipend if they apply for it with their scholarship request.
  • This stipend is enormous and will be reimbursed to the scholarship holder after their stay, together with the previous scholarship payment.
  • The travel stipend sum is based on the distance between the candidates’ residence location and the location of their residence in Slovakia.

Qualification

You must satisfy the requirements below to qualify to apply for the program.

  • Candidates are required to be nationals of the following nations such as European nations, Africa, Asia, America, Oceania and Australia, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Italy, Ireland, United Kingdom, Denmark, Portugal, Greece, Finland, Spain, Sweden, Austria, Estonia, Cyprus, Malta, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Poland, Latvia, Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia, Romania, Bulgaria.
  • Applicants must be international students, artists, teachers, researchers, or PhD scholars at institutions outside of Slovakia.
  • Candidates must be admitted by a public, state, or private institution or a research university in Slovakia qualified to perform a doctoral program for educational mobility to study or carry out research in Slovakia.
  • You must be prepared to spend the entire duration of your mobility in Slovakia, which can be up to 1 to 2 semesters or 1 to 10 months.

Application

You are recommended to present your grant request online through the given address. The application system online is currently open. You can fill out and show the application when the online application system has already been made available.

Candidates will be needed to present so many accompanying documents, which include the following:

  • Your current CV
  • An explicit letter of motivation
  • Well-sketched and informed study or research or artistic course.
  • A letter of recommendation issued by the candidate’s dissertation supervisor, which is not above three months on the day of the request deadline
  • Present a verification allocated by the candidate’s home institution or research institution verifying that the candidate is on the application deadline and is a regular student or Ph.D. student of the said institution.
  • A scan of the candidate’s master’s certificate, diploma supplement, and state exam credentials (if relevant)
  • List of publications or artistic exercises in the needed form
  • The candidate’s host institution in Slovakia issued an admission or letter of invitation demonstrating the duration of stay.
