Canada Currently Accepting 4 New English Tests for Study Visas

Fresh laws for Canada study visa

IRCC is approving four new English exams for study visas through Student Direct Stream, known as SDS, requests presented after August 10, 2023. These four recent English tests endorsed for Student Direct Stream study visas include:

  1. Canadian Academic English Language (CAEL)
  2. Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program ( CELPIP)
  3. Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic
  4. Test of English as a foreign language (TOEFL) iBT.

This information was first declared by Immigration News Canada (INC) on May 26, 2023. To register for a study visa using the Student Direct Stream, you must fulfill these language tests in person. Online or home-based tests are not permitted. There are currently 10 English or French language skills exams for the student Direct Stream study visa. Below are the entire exams and their points provisions.

  1. Canadian Academic English Language exams: You will require a CAEL exam minimum grade of 60 with outcomes from the four language capacities.
  2. Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program: You require a CELPIP point equal to a Canadian language standards score of 7 or increased for every capacity.
  3. Pearson Test of English (PTE): You require a PTE educational minimum points of 60 with outcomes from the four language capacities.
  4. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): You require a TOEFL iBT minimum points of 83 with outcomes from the entire four languages capacity.
  5. International English Language Testing System (IELTS ) education: You require an IELTS education with a minimum of 6 points.
  6. International English Language Testing System (IELTS ) General: You require this score equal to a Canadian language standard point of 7 or above for every capacity.
  7. Test De Connaissance du Français (TCF) Canada: Require a TCF point equal to a Canadian Langauge standard point of 7 or above for every capacity.
  8. Test De Connaisance du Français (TCF) Tout Public: You require a TCF tout public minimum points of 400 with outcomes from the four language capacities.
  9. Test d’evaluation de Français (TEF) Canada: You require TEF points equal to a Canadian language standard score of 7 or above for every capacity.
  10. Test d’evaluation de français (TEF) 5 épreuves: You require a minimum TEF 5 épreuves points 400 with outcomes from the entire four languages capacities. Remember that the Lexique/structure capacity is unnecessary for Student Direct Stream.
