Ontario and British Columbia have launched new standards to enhance the virtue of post-secondary schooling on a provincial level. The Ontario administration states it will be operating with sector associates and the national administration to investigate ways to proceed to summarize the bad actor recruiters who take advantage of international students and make questionable assertions of jobs and citizenship.
Many new standards strive to ensure that international students at provincial post-secondary schools are being provided educational courses that satisfy the demands of Ontario’s labor market. The region states it will check courses with increased numbers of international students to ensure their quality; therefore, students can satisfy the requirements of the local workforce.
Furthermore, the Ontario News published that the region would execute standards to enhance the feedback rate to student results assessment to ensure the best educational results are being attained.
British Columbia’s administration is also launching standards to enhance the quality of post-secondary schools for international students in the region. It declares that it will halt authorizations for new Designated Learning Institutions for the next 24 months until February 2026 for new schools. British Columbia has the third highest number of designated learning institutions in Canada, with 276, Quebec following 443, and Ontario with 529.
Designated learning institutions are the only post-secondary schools that can accept international students. Since education is a regional duty, each region has distinct measures to become a designated learning institution.

Private Courses And Schools to Be Reviewed
Ontario is launching a moratorium on new public college-private partnerships and operating to boost surveillance to ensure the quality of existing partnerships.
